What is New With Dodge for 2024?

In 2024, Dodge will discontinue the Challenger Coupe and Charger Sedan models, leaving the Dodge Hornet and Durango the two key models in the 2024 lineup. With such a small offering, we’re expecting great things from this 2024 Dodge lineup.

Dodge Hornet

The Dodge Hornet was rebooted in compact SUV format in the 2023 model year, but for 2024, Dodge has brought out a new Dodge Hornet R/T plug-in hybrid model, along with a gas-fuelled GT model.

In general, the 2024 Dodge Hornet iteration has good ride quality and offers sporty handling and rapid acceleration. However, the interior may feel slightly smaller than other models.

The standard features you’ll get in the 2024 Hornet are impressive and include a 10.3-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay (or Android Auto), and dual-zone automatic climate, among others. You've also got a ton of tech, including a Uconnect 5 system and a 14-speaker Harman/Kardon stereo with higher trims.

For the interior, the front seats have lots of room, though the back seats may be lacking in space. The standard upholstery is black with red stitching. However, higher trim levels come with leather and even faux suede. You can also get an optional red leather interior if you wish.

Dodge has also included lots of safety features in the 2024 Hornet model, including standard automated emergency braking, standard lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. The 2024 Hornet includes parallel and perpendicular parking functions within the Tech Pack options.

Dodge Durango

Dodge has kept quite a lot of the same features from the Durango SRT Hellcat from 2023, which means if you were a fan last year, you're going to be happy in 2024, too! The 2024 Dodge Durango has a maximum towing capacity of nearly 4,000.00 kilos and comes in a lot of trim levels. The vehicle has also had additions that include state-of-the-art mechanics and the latest technology, like high-performance brakes, an adaptive suspension, and performance exhaust.

This model is a three-row family-style SUV with a lot of bravado. It comes equipped with the V6 engine that is common with all Dodge models (though you can upgrade to a V8 engine, too). Inside, it has high-quality materials and a design that suggests they've considered ergonomics, so you're going to be comfortable in this Durango.

For cargo space, you're in luck. There's room for a wealth of luggage, especially if you fold the third row of seats flat.

The higher up the trim levels you go, the better the interior tech gets. However, even the mid-range models have great audio, rear-seat entertainment, and optional add-ons, like HDMI and RCA ports. In the case of safety features, you've got a standard blind-spot monitoring system, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

A Note on Hybrid and Electric Vehicles from Dodge in 2024

Like a number of manufacturers in the past couple of years, Dodge has introduced hybrid and electric models for 2024. While electric cars offer eco-friendly driving, a hybrid may be more up your street if you want the power of a gas engine with the sustainability of electricity.

With the Hornet R/T Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicle (PHEV), you get to enjoy the power and muscle that Dodge is known for with the efficiency and performance of a hybrid engine.

These models use a 15.5kWH lithium-ion battery and a 1.3L turbocharged four-cylinder engine to switch seamlessly between electric and gas. The top speed of the hybrid hornet is around 206km/h with 288 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

The vehicle has three modes: hybrid mode, electric mode, and eSAVE mode, all of which can be used in different circumstances for a different driving experience.
